Bubba Presley, with his son Kevin, owned and operated Presley & Son Electric in Mobile. The Presleys have been involved in the electrical business for over 50 years. Our dad, Orie, opened Presley Electric Service, Inc. with his partner, Louis Balzli in the 1950’s. After both Mr. Balzli and our dad died in 1984, Bubba took over the business. Soon son Kevin was added to the mix and Presley & Son Electric was open for business.
Jimmie May and his sons Scott and Guy worked together in the family business, Appliance & Refrigeration Parts, just outside of Mobile in Theodore. Jimmie was originally from Mississippi but came to Mobile in his teens. Bubba and Jimmie became close friends. Then Jimmie met my sister Barbara and the rest is history!
Golfing WITH Bubba has become an outlet for our family. The inaugural event helped us heal just a little bit. It brought us together with a common interest, binding us together as one family, something we all needed.
